Paw Paw David's Deer!

On any given saturday in Virginia you better beleive that if there are no funerals all the guys are headed into the woods. And today was one of those days. The guys headed into the woods and a lil after lunch time Jonathan called to say his dad finally got one. Apparently the deer have been scarce this year (at least thats their excuse) but pawpaw David got the big one! He brought home this 8 pointer this afternoon and Landon couldn't Wait to see pawpaw's deer! He talked about it all the way up there askin if "paw paw shooted the deers with his gun" And notice he has on his camo & boots because when I told him this morning that his daddy was in the woods he Insisited on his "huntin deers clothes & boots"....man i'm in for it!

Brothers visit

This weekend my brothers (dad's sons) were in town for their Nanny's 90th birthday party and we were able to spend some time together. Bobby lives in Arkanses and this is only the 2nd time i've seen him in about 10 years! Billy is living in Wise, VA and this was the first time I'd seen him for about 6 years, and was also the first time he got to meet Landon. We also didn't tell my dad they were coming, so it was a surprise for him that I think he especially enjoyed! After Landon warmed up to Bobby he had a blast with him. He woke up this morning and asked if Bobby was comin to his house! I'm glad Landon (and me) got to spend time with his Uncles. I think he's shocked about how many Uncles he actually has! haha

He even suckered Bobby into reading him a book while he was trying to watch the Arkansas Razorback game. Bobby taught him to say "wooo pig soui" or whatever it is and I had to tell Landon those are bad words right along w/ "roll tide and go hoos!" :)

Emma Paige turns 1!

Last weekend Landon's BFF Emma turned a year old! She had an awesome party at our church, then afterwards we took all the kids out to the church playground and stayed for hours. The weather was beautiful and us mommy's def enjoyed the time as well! She had a cupcake themed party and her mommy fixed all kinds of neat cupcakes!

5 years ago...

Five years ago today I got engaged to my best friend. It's hard to beleive its been 5 years already since that freezin cold day in November :) That day we rode to the lake I kept arguing with him that it was too cold and I didnt' want to get out and walk down to the overlook. He likes to remind me how mean I was that afternoon ;) Through it all we just have to remember *It's not always rainbows & butterflies its compromise that moves us along* :) I love you bayba :)

Hometown Halloween

This year we were able to go downtown to Hometown Halloween. The same group that puts on "Rock the Block" were in charge of this and did an awesome job! The Rhinestone Rockers as well as the Heart Unit had a tent to hand out candy, and a lot of other organizations and business' handed out candy to all the kids. There was face painting, pumpkin carving, a chili cook off, and even a dog costume contest! No Lifeguard on Duty also performed so that always makes things fun. It was a fun filled day, and after trick or treating around all Landon was def ready to come home for a nap! Emma the kitty cat..
