Happy Birthday

So I'm officially in my "late twenties". I can't sneak by another year as mid 20's.yikes. As scary as that is, I guess I'll deal with it :) So my birthday started out pretty laid back, since I had a pageant saturday night and Landon went to Craigsville with Grammy & Pawpaw so we all slept in Sunday morning. We didn't make it to church because Landon went back down for a nap, so me & Jonathan just layed around too. He asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told him just for him to spend the whole day with me and do whatever I wanted..thats not asking alot right?! ;) Well he did, and Ashley texted me and wanted us to go to Roanoke to eat, so we packed up Landon and met her, Scott, Emma, Katrina and Adam at the mall, then went to eat at O'Charleys--my fave :) I had a great birthday, even if I am late 20's ;)

Trick

Now most of you that glance at this will think it's Landon standing there holding a pink bear, which is exactly what I thought at first when my sisterinlaw sent me the picture in a text last night. But once I starting thinkin "now when did Landon have a pink bear?" I realized it was Jonathan. They just look so much alike its not fair! haha. And the funny thing is that picture was taken in my current living room, about 25 years ago when it was Mamaw's house. Who would have ever guessed it..

Lil Stinker

We've been going through a not wanting to eat stage, and even though we know he would eat some of the stuff he's got this thing where he will NOT let you feed him. I fixed chicken noodle soup for dinner last night, and he was runnin around the kitchen playing and came over like he wanted a bite of my soup, so I tried to give him some, nope, not having any part of it. Well then he decided to climb up on his daddy's lap (can they look ANYmore alike?!) Well everytime Jonathan tried to take a bite Landon would put his face in front of the spoon to intercept it, so I told Jonathan if he's actually eating--FEED HIM! So apparently the little stinker felt like letting his daddy feed him, but wont' eat for anyone else. I hope it lasts because how many days can a kid live on chicken nuggets?!

Lady Valentines

So once a month we try to get together and go out to eat for a night of food and laughter w/ the girls. What more can you ask for? This month was mine & Ashleigh's birthday month so we got to pick where we wanted to eat, and we hit up Cat & Owl. Now those of you that don't know about it, its the best steakhouse right here at home. It's my Inlaws favorite place to go so I'm lucky that I get to go there alot! We had a great night and I can't wait until next month!

A Nice Surprise..

So just when I'm about to give up hope, Jonathan comes through. I wasn't expecting anything for valentines this year, I figured we'd be at home while everyone else went to eat and he caught the funeral home phones. I was in the back doing some stuff and they started yelling for me to come up front and open the door to the waiting room and there was a delivery of flowers..for ME! It's got roses and tulips and lily's and orchids and carnations. Tulips are my fave so I was pretty excited about that. So I immediately called him and asked him what he wanted ;) haha. Dr. Boyd said he probably wanted to go gun shopping! Oh well, I'll enjoy these while they last and know that deep down he still wants to do nice stuff for me every now and then ;) Thanks bayba!

Night Night

Well Mommy has me in a night time routine that I really like. Yesterday was a full day, Daddy took me to get a haircut and I heard him tell Mommy that I threw a fit. Now look at my face and tell me I did such a thing?! This is about my 5th haircut since I was 6 months old, it just keeps on growing, but Mommy says I look so grown up everytime I get one, and my Mamaw says I look more like my Daddy! I also L O V E to brush my teeth! As soon as I get my bath, and my jammers on Mommy tells me lets go brush our teeth and I go sit on the stool! She got me a bigboy toothbrush and its great. I was playing with Mommy's camera and she had a new picture of my friend Emma. Now I know girls have cooties, but I guess she looks pretty cute w/ her bow in her hair!

Four Eyes

So I finally broke down and went to the eye doctor last week. And as I figured, I needed glasses. Well last night in between washing clothes and my Relay For Life meeting I saw where they had called and my glasses were ready. So me and Landon jumped in the car and ran over to walmart to pick them up. After I got them I realized I should have never been driving without them! Haha it's amazing what I was missing out on, it felt like one of those "claritin clear" commercials and I was "out of the fog" Haha. Landon wasn't too concerned with them, he was more concerned w/ getting cookies from Angie that works in the eye center. I was apprehensive as to what Jonathan would think, but he immediately asked me if he had any overdue book fee's, saying I looked like a librarian, and "sara palin-esq" haha. But I'm glad I got them, and hopefully the headaches won't come on so bad.

Pistol Packin Mama

Well anyone that knows Jonathan knows he has a slight "obsession" you could say with guns. He's wanted me to have my own gun, that I feel comfortable with for a while now, and I finally found one I liked. It's a Lady Smith & Wesson revolver and while it fits in the "cute" category a girl would put it in, Jonathan says it will suffice for what he thinks I need. I don't have a concealed weapons permit yet, so it stays home in the gun safe. haha. Now I never imagined having a gun as an accessory to my newest Dooney or Vera Bradley purse, but whatever. Last weekend the weather was nice so Me, Jonathan and his brothers went to the shootin range to try it out. My aim got better as the day went by... Now this is what I call Jonathan's "Rambo" gun. I've hated it from the day he bought it (guns are a sore subject with us) Of course he begged me to at least shoot it once, and I was feeling nice so I did it. It's definately something I do not like, although it doesn't have a kick to it hardly at all.

15 Month Well Visit

So I went to work with Mommy again this morning, but I'm starting to remember what happens when I go there! Linda let me help her throw boxes away, and I played with the truck for a while, but as soon as Dr. Boyd came in I started crying. I can't understand why mommy's boss wants to stab me with needles! I was ok after I got my blanky and bink. I got 3 of those old yucky shots today, Mommy says one more when I turn 2 and then no more until my school physical! Yay! But anyway, here are my latest stats:

Weight: 29.5lbs (95th percentile)
Height: 32 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
Head: 19 1/2 inches (95th percentile)

Gods Miracle

I don't even remember exactly how I came across Kelly's blog, but once I did it was like an addiction worse than Facebook or Myspace! I found myself checking it 100 times a day to check on baby Harper and see how she was doing and what miracles God was working in their lives. They're strong faith in God to get them through this time of struggle with their baby girl makes your heart swell and your own faith in God stronger. She posted good news that Harper is free of all wires, and tubes and should be going home soon. Prayers for Harper were all over the country and it's amazing how the power of prayer works! Finally some snow!

We finally got a lil bit of snow last night but not enough to get out of work! I hadn't taken a picture of our house, and I thought w/ the snow it would be a nice one! It started last night, and poor Oscar freezes when he has to go to the bathroom.

Party Weekend

This weekend was full of birthday parties, and I was completely worn out. Both my friends Dylan & Jackson had their 2nd birthday parties, and my Aunt Beth had her birthday party at the Cat & Owl. I wasn' too interested in eating cake or watching them open presents, I just did my own thing.
It was such a nice day me, Elsa & Oscar were watchin the cars go by.. Then I figured if I could stretch out JUST enough I could open the door and we'd all go outside!

My new fascination is belly buttons. I have to make sure everyone has one, and Hunter thought it was very funny.

Hunter & Abbie came over to play while Aunt Lori went grocery shopping, so I shared all my toys for a while.

Jackson got alot of cool presents at his birthday, but he didn't want me to really play with them. I can't blame him.
